Barbara Ioannou

Barbara manages our LAFIC programme as well as overseeing compliance across our whole ERDF portfolio
Barbara has always been involved in grant management from all sides whether managing and delivering grant funded activities, auditing grants or been part of the grant giving team. Barbara also has an advisory role across London on the distribution of funds. A number of Barbara's roles have involved European collaboration at an influential level on key social inclusion issues including entrepreneurship, youth employment, disability, gender, age and supported labour market initiatives.
As an experienced trainer she delivered training in the UK and Europe. Barbara has also worked with the serious violence teams across London, in line with the Mayor of London’s initiatives on gang prevention and tackling knife crime. She also contributed to the work of the Women’s library at the London Metropolitan University on female serious youth violence issues. Barbara is overseeing the ERDF Programmes at LSBU and is committed to making sure they have a lasting impact on London's small business community.
She is a mother of twin boys and has a keen interest in food, travel and art. Barbara believes you should never stop challenging yourself and should always make and take opportunities to operate in new environments and build your resilience.
