About

Each stage of the product development journey is fraught with potential pitfalls and failure. Over 95% of all ideas don't make it. But 5% of ideas do, and that's where we can help.

In this two-day bootcamp you will hear from food professionals with over 70 years of industry experience: from successfully running brands such as John West and Heinz Beans, developing recipes with Cordon Bleu, to ensuring that production methods meet all current guidelines and requirements - our experts will get your idea ready for production and scale.

You will also get the opportunity to discuss your progress on the LAFIC programme, and how we can assist your business with our Stage 2 support.

Benefits

By the end of the two days, you will:

  • Understand the product development cycle
  • Review your own concept with feedback from industry experts
  • Define and develop your Unique Selling Point
  • Understand the pitfalls you may encounter upon the journey
  • Ensure you are meeting regulatory requirements

Benefits to your business:

You'll have a stronger understanding of the path you need to follow to make your product a success.

You'll be aware of the common mistakes that businesses make when developing a food product and you will be better prepared to avoid them.

You will be eligible to apply for Stage 2 of LAFIC, potentially accessing academic support, equipment and laboratory testing.
