ACE IT helps startups grow by removing financial barriers to immersive tech innovation.

Through the ACE IT programme, start-ups can access consultancy from experts in:

  • Augmented Reality
  • Virtual Reality
  • Immersive audio
  • Photogrammetry & Volumetric Scanning

Our support will help strategise the transformation of your immersive tech prototype into a new-to-market or new-to-firm product, process or service.

Start-Ups can also access a range of immersive technology to experiment with new ideas, without losing R&D budgets.

Read on to find out how you can prepare for applications to our second cohort, opening on Monday 1 November 2021, 09:00AM.

1. Collect essential information about your business

Due to our funding agreements, we have strict eligibility criteria for businesses joining the ACE IT programme. In order to benefit from our expertise, you must be:

  • Be registered in Greater London, or registered in the UK with an operational address in Greater London (co-working spaces or virtual offices are fine)
  • Be a company working with immersive technology or looking to adopt immersive technology to their products, processes or services (PPS)
  • Have received less than €200,000 in the last 3 years
  • Have no more than 25% ownership residing in entities with more than 250 employees, an annual turnover above €50m and/or a balance sheet above €43m

If you are unsure whether you meet the above criteria please contact hello@immersivetech.co.uk prior to submitting your application.

To prove you meet our eligibility criteria, you'll need to prepare:

  • Your company registration number;
  • A brief summary of your business.
2. Get competitive

To judge your application, we'll ask you a number of questions about your business and products to assess feasibility and potential.

To make the most out of the space you have, it'd be wise to draft summaries about:

  • Your current knowledge of immersive technologies;
  • The product you'd like us to support with developing, testing, launching, evaluating or improving
  • Your product development stage
  • Key milestones within your product roadmap;
  • Other accelerator programmes you've joined.

You'll also have the chance to upload supporting documentation - so if you have a pitch deck, a business model canvas, UX designs or prototypes, this is your opportunity to show us!

3. Be specific

We need to know if ACE IT will be a good fit for you, as well as your business being a good fit for us.

Take some time to consider what support you're looking for - and the more specific you can be, the better we can judge your application.

We'll be asking you about:

  • The expertise and development you require to reach your next milestone(s);
  • What you'd like to achieve in the next six months;
  • What your desired outcomes for your ACE IT project will be;
  • The technical or consultative support you need, and over what timelines;
  • The technical capacity you have within your business;
  • What testing support you require (if appropriate)
  • Any testing and evaluations you have already performed on your concept, prototype or product
4. I'm ready to apply - now what?

Grab a beverage, and we suggest using a computer, rather than a smartphone or tablet, to make your experience as stress-free as possible.

The amount of time it takes for an application to be completed depends on a number of variables. Ensuring you're as prepped as possible for your application will make the process go much faster.

ACE IT Cohort 2 Applications Open from Monday 1 November 2021, and will close on Sunday 12 December 2021.
