ACE IT (Accelerating the Creative Economy Through Immersive Technologies) is a fully-funded initiative which supports London-based start-ups and SMEs to conceptualise, research and develop innovative products and services.
Working closely with an expert team, you'll develop ground-breaking products while future-proofing your business through immersive technology. This project is a partnership between London South Bank University and London College of Communication, UAL. It is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
All applications must be received by 23:59 on Sunday 30 January. They will then be processed by the ACE IT team.
By this point all applicants will be informed whether they have been successful or not. If unsuccessful they will be given advice on how to prepare their business for the next round of applications.
Delivery commences on Cohort 2. Activity is tailored, focussed and quality.
All activity is complete and SMES are added to our Alumni Network to be first in line for further support.
Adapt to the "new normal" with simple immersive options for all businesses.
Expand your reach and access your customer in their home, wherever they are.
Scale faster and safer with free access to research and development.

Our support will help you strategise and fast-track transformation of your immersive tech prototype into a new product, process or service. Start-ups can also access a range of immersive technology to experiment and test new ideas, without losing R&D budgets. For start-ups that already have a working prototype or MVP, we’ll help you access user and product testing, giving you the data you need to refine your product and get market-ready.
We work across a broad range of immersive areas and enable you to increase your depth of understanding and your ability to implement new ideas, technology and processes.

Volumetric Capture is a fantastic tool for creating real-life 3D and virtual assets and videos for use in immersive content and for marketing purposes. The finished product allows for anyone to view your products in 3D using software and hardware they already have access to - such as web browsers, smartphones (or even VR Headsets). You can even capture live-action movements and demonstrations in 3D, bringing your customers straight into the matrix to experience your product.
The ACE IT team will train you to capture and process your videos in our Volumetric Scanning Studio, so you can gain a better understanding of development processes and associated costs.
Not only was the product improvement support great, but we also benefitted by meeting other founders through the ACE IT project. This has enabled us to share learning and collaborate on common challenges.
Alivein Tech came to ACE IT with a basic product, in need of user testing. We helped them to refine the product and leave with an improved and more comprehensive offer.
Industry data shows there will be an expansion of immersive tech over the next decade - not just in terms of the capabilities of the technology but also the spread and adoption. Last decade it was social media, next it will be immersive tech.
We want to enable forward thinking creative businesses to get ahead of the curve without the risks often associated with pioneering a new technology.

ACE IT is a product development programme. We match you with skilled professionals who can directly support you in your product development:
You are then able to move forward, access funding, or enter the marketplace with the confidence that your idea has been ratified by leading academic body.
Our cohort structure provides businesses access to the expertise, facilities and support they require to succeed. Like no other London accelerator, participants receive one to one bespoke support targeted at the individual development needs of their products or services.
Your tailored support is delivered by our in house team of academics, creative technologists and industry specialists.
Our team of Project and Product Development Managers will guide you through the Cohort. The fixed timeline enables SMEs to understand what they will receive, what is required of them, and what progress they will have made upon completion.
Prototyping is an essential element of taking a product to market, and is fundamental to your journey as an innovator.
We can support the development of your existing prototype or Minimal Viable Product (MVP).
Our prototype modelling process is unique to the local product design landscape. You'll receive expert advice on the development of your product, for free, and keep 100% of the IP.
With access to our specialist facilities and immersive equipment you can both product and user test to ensure commercial viability.
You will have received bespoke consultancy and development support to take your unique product or service to the next level.
You will have had an opportunity to work with experts and students to develop or trial your product or service.
Consultancy through our Cohort is delivered online. We’ll invite you in to our Studios where product and user testing is required.
We got one-on-one mentoring as well as encouragement from the cohort. Being part of such an inspiring community accelerated our business development even more.
We spoke to Eva Lili Bartha, Founder of Digital Fashion Framework, about her innovative business, the issues with the Fashion industry & why she's embracing immersive tech.
